Classes & Workshops

Build Something in Tinkertopia's TinkerSpace

Turn reclaimed materials into an original take-home creation during a 90-minute open-ended maker session.

Hours, prices, seasons and reservation rules change. Confirm on the official page before you go — Tacoma Trekker is an independent visitor platform.

For a fun hands-on thing to do in downtown Tacoma, reserve a TinkerSpace session inside Tinkertopia. Builders choose from reclaimed loose parts, experiment with tools and connectors, and make whatever their imaginations suggest. Staff can help with tool use and creative problem-solving, but the experience stays open-ended rather than following one prescribed project. It is a playful fit for families with children ages 6 and up, teens, adults, and creative dates.

Capacity is limited to 10 people. Adult supervision may be appropriate for younger builders and tool use.
