Children's Museum of Tacoma is built for younger kids and sits downtown. The Museum of Glass is a short walk away and the hot shop keeps most children watching longer than you would expect. Drive north-west after lunch for Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, then let the day end at Owen Beach, five minutes downhill inside the same park.
