Ring in the new year with the Tacoma Light Trail's kick-off celebration. The Dragon Parade starts at 5:30 PM from the UWT steps at the Prairie Line and ends at Tollefson Plaza, where the free celebration begins at 6 PM with performances, a DJ and community dance breaks, circus arts, roaming dragon puppets, arts and crafts and lantern-making stations, plus a food truck. Free and family-friendly. Bad weather plan: activities relocate to the Tacoma Art Museum covered parking lot or Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center.
