Owen Beach is the rebuilt saltwater beach and promenade inside Point Defiance Park, with shoreline walking and gravel beach access to Commencement Bay.
On-the-water activity: conditions, tides, currents and cold water change quickly. Check the operator's current conditions, wear the required safety gear, and do not go out beyond your experience.
Puget Sound water stays cold year-round and there is no lifeguard on duty. Watch children closely and check conditions before entering the water.
